History
First chartered in 1927, Troop 132 has been at Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church since 1932. Since its beginning, more than 700 youth have been a part of Troop 132 with 47 of those scouts attaining the rank of Eagle Scout, a testimony to the program and the commitment of its 37 Scoutmasters and other leaders who have given their time, talent and personal interest in the furthering of the Scouting ideals. With this continuing commitment to the Scouting program, we hope to instill qualities of leadership and character that will help guide Scouts for the rest of their lives.
A new mystery has come to light. The original blueprints for Mt. Carmel dated June 1926 show a designated ‘Boy Scout Room.’ Could this mean that the boy scouts were at Mt. Carmel prior to 1932? Or was Mt. Carmel hoping to get a boy scout troop? Stay tuned.
